On the weekend of Halloween, the leadership in the Section gathered for a weekend of training, fun, fellowship, and the annual CoC meeting at Boxwell Scout Reservation. Put all of that together and we have the Section Leadership Summit. New to the Section this year, the Section Leadership Summit, also known as SLS, started on Friday evening and ended Sunday morning. Friday night included a cracker-barrel and all of the attendants stayed at the High Adventure building on the the Reservation. Saturday had morning trainings for both adults and youth and a walk through of camp. After lunch, the Section Conclave Committees had a couple of hours to prepare and work together before the CoC.

The CoC, or Council of Chiefs, started around 4pm and lasted until 7pm. In the meeting, the committee chairman presented their committees plan and budget and various topics regarding Conclave and general issues within the section were covered. Minutes of the meeting can be found Here. Saturday night ended with dinner at a local restaurant. Those who stayed Saturday night woke up Sunday to a nice breakfast before leaving.

Overall, the SLS weekend went very well. Be sure to attend the next CoC on January 30th at Boxwell Scout Reservation. To view all of the Handouts from CoC, please follow this Link.
